Two Girls Working

     Trappings & Taking Stock

Two Girls Working, the collaborative team of artists Tiffany Ludwig and Renee Piechocki, launched in 2001. Two Girls Working position themselves as assets to daily civic action and dialogue. The purpose of the collaboration is to apply their qualities as artists (multitasking, attention to detail, collaboration, isolation, restlessness and diligence) to the systems, social expectations, structure and syntax of everyday life.

Their first project, Trappings, activates dialogue about power and the creation of personal identity by asking women the question, "what do you wear that makes you feel powerful?"

Taking Stock, their current project, asks men "what do you do that makes you feel valuable?"
